I've just read "Lois on the Loose" (steady men!) which is about a woman riding a motorcycle from Alaska to Ushuaia in Argentina, and she (obviously) passes thru Chile on the final part of the journey. She speaks very highly of Chile and its people. And she writes about her experiences on the Carretera Austral, which sounds a most amazing road. So it is great to see a few photos, not just of your Rav4 but also the amazing scenery

I like to go to the Carretera austral in 1 or 2 more years, my cousin was also there and told me that it is incredible.

I just bought mine last month. It's a 2009 RAV4 V6 Limited 4WD model.

It's interesting to see other RAV4s from around the world as there are features that I would like to have, but not available in the U.S. market (like HID headlights)

Interesting to see the front end of the 09 US model, the grille looks a bit like the Hi Lux. Very smart

Hi Tom - nice RAV I think quite a few here would swap HID headlamps for your V6 Engine ;)

We don't have HID headlamps (without conversion) they are just "projector style".

V6 HA we have the T180/SR180 and a performance chip....just make sure the roads clean of any tyre puncturing debris.... :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

It's a bonnet guard to protect it from stone chips etc....

We call it a hood deflector here in North America. It is indeed to protect from stone chips.

Price of gasoline has dropped dramatically here in the U.S. Here in the Northwest, our gasoline prices tend to be higher compared to the rest of the nation. In April 2008, I paid $3.69 for 1 US gallon of regular unleaded fuel. In June 2008, I paid $4.09 and it went up to about to about $4.40 at one point. Toyota dealers literally ran out of Prius and Camry Hybrid. Then from August, it started to drop and it really fell October.

As of yesterday, 1 US gallon of regular unleaded was $2.19 here! In many parts of the U.S., it's less than $2.00 per gallon.

Too many Clean RAV's on here....Show us yea dirty pictures (that's of cars The Dixie Chicks are different )

What with the lovely weather we have been having and all the muck and salt on the roads...along with the single track lanes I live down...mine stays clean for ooh about 5 minutes.... :D :D

So when I cant see out of the side windows any more and the water has run out of the washers...I know it's time to clean it......

See that's where you're lucky Chatman......blue shows up the muck and salt brilliantly. If I took a picture of mine still covered in road grime, it would still look silver, maybe dull silver but your blue really let's people see the S H one T.

I would have to take a picture halfway through washing so that you could see the dirt all up the doors!

hi folks this is my 2001 d4d nrg ,only a few baleric blue ones around from what ive seen,bit muddy,as a 4x4 should be,i go green laning a fair bit so it aint clean for long.

also showing bike rack on top (have small pair of steps to reach up there)

ooooh.....no,thats the other halfs

cant under stand why people keep thier rav's clean though, my cars were all ways clean...not my rav4 though,bring on the mud...proud of it!!!!
