Nice U/C Clare.

They have a nice purposeful look about them. It's a shame Toyota got it a bit wrong with the launch price wise otherwise I think we would see many more on the roads (it is very likely I would have got one to replace the RAV4.2 anyway)

Cheers for that Dave. No they are not cheap, but for what you get and comparing it to socalled Crossovers they arn,t too bad.

Example New QQ 1.6 Dci ( yes 1.6) AWD in N Tec spec £25000 !!!!!!

The trouble is Toyota didn,t market them properly, they have a GEM there but are underselling it.

What I want to know is why Toyota don,t sell them in Spain, it,s the only country in the EU that they don,t

Regards Clare

Hi, first post soI hope it goes well. After owning both 2nd and 3rd gen Toyota Surfs I though it was time to try something a little more economical and decided to go for another Toyota, this time a Rav 4.

I must admit I'm very pleased with it so far although there are a couple of issues I will post about later. In the meantime here are a few pics of my new toy!

Yeah, and doesn't black not half show up the muck! Had a silver Surf before this and it never looked dirty!

Nice looking black additions to the fleet.

I must admit, keeping them clean will be a task!

Wash it at the weekends, and it looks great for about 100yards of motoring!

Last car was a silver verso; nice colour but boring.

Had Astral Black Granite & then an LC4 in same colour. The RAV wasn't too bad to keep clean but the Cruiser was a complete pain in the *****. I reckon it was due to the Sun Guard paint treatment on the LC as that was the only difference between them - other than the size, of course! I've got an Island Green 3-dr now and it doen't stay clean long either. Our Argenta (silver) 5-dr on the other hand can go weeks without a wash but still looks OK - the only give-away is the wheels.

I reckon silver tends to be boring simply because there are so many around but it does polish up raelly nicely with a bit of effort.

I know what you mean about silver, I actually liked my silver Surf very much indeed. They do tend to look cleaner for longer and they do polish up very nicely, here's a piccy of my old Surf to prove the point!

Just want to tell someone I love my Rav4. I chose it to meet the following criteria: High of the ground and automatic - I've a lot of metalwork in my leg! Big enough for my 3 rescued retired racing greyhounds and it was black (sadly no purple ones ;))

I was lucky, it's a great car for the Highlands and although it's quite old, has only done 52K so I'm hoping it will last a long time :hokus-pokus:
