Corolla Brake Drum Fitting

Dear all, Still not quite clear about the fitting of my new Brake Shoes to my Corolla 1991 model. Do I need to reset the auto handbrake assy when fitting the new brake shoes. I did get a message from Gazza but it was not very clear.
