I bought some wiper refill blades off eBay some months back. Anyway I cut them down and fitted them. They are not very effective when it rains, so I decided to purchase some more from a car parts shop. The shop assistant looked at the wipers on the car to determine size and he said these were upside down.

Question is...Which way up do the Wiper Blades go?

Hi Andy

I fit lots of wipers as I am a technician, and I always put the aerofoil to the bottom of the blade. Also I put the securing device for the profile at the bottom of the blade, when the blade is viewed in the vertical position of its sweep. The thinking behind this is, that the motion of the wiper causes a centrifugal force, which in time, will tend to throw the profile out the top of the blade. So I reckon the securing device will then have to pass through all the legs of each claw before it can escape. Cheers Ray

Thanks Ray.

I just fitted them with the secure clip at the bottom.

Cheers Andy
