Avensis Clutch Biting Point

Hi,

Just bought an Avensis 1.8 Se , 2000 W.

Previously had Carina II , 1991 - Done me Well..

Anyway noticed that the biting point for the Avensis is quite low down - I only have to lift the clutch a tiny amount and the biting point is reached. Is there any way that this can be raised. The other thing is that the clutch pedal is postioned lower than the brake - again different to other cars I have driven.

Any advice greatly welcomed..

Thnx.. ash

Air in the hydraulic line would cause the biting point to be lower than normal.
