how long can you leave the engne flush in the car for, say if i put it in just before i take my car in for a service and drive it 8miles to the dealer, will that be ok?

thanks for the info guys, I think this one should be made a sticky!

bhinder. In my old civic I used to leave it in for about a 50 miles before draining. Provided you don't cane it, it doesn't do that much, apart from making the oil thin. I think the manufacturers just put on "no more than 15 minutes" to cover themselves. They have a safety factor of at least double in my opinion.
