Warranty

You would think warranty treatment would be the same for both Toyota and Lexus but . . .. no way.

I took my Aygo back to Toyota dealer recently as the gear gaiter (sp) had split and I had a hell of a time getting it replaced under warranty (I saw the bill and it was £9.50)

By contrast I called into Lexus dealer today with the IS as the remote boot release is sticking and the dealer pointed out some minor corrosion on 3 of my alloys and instantly booked me in for 4 replacements FOC.

I guess the Lex alloys retail at about £900.

Guess its the same with all dealers.... you have some great ones and some not so great!

Yeah. My Mum's Rav had alloy corrosion. I took it along, one of the tech blockes came out, took a look around and said, "Yeah, warranty job. I'll order some up and give you a call when they're in"

Cos Lexi' (Japanese Mercedes) cost more so you get better customer care I'd say....

Steve.... trust me when i say it pales in comparison to a Porsche warranty....

they have a system for what is, and what isnt covered... and you'd be amazed!
