New Aerial - 1998 Celica

Hiya guys,

I have a 1998 celica. stupidly left the radio on when in the car wash. whole mast snapped off, including nylon retracter.

Where's the best place to get a new one fitted? Toyota dealer? How easy is it to replace myself? If the latter is best/cheapest option, where to get a new mast? How much am i looking at?

I can't answer your questions fully I'm afraid, but I know there have been many posts regarding the power antenna. Run a search and you will find out more. I do know that they are very very expensive, especially from Toyota. Most people fix them by replacing the nylon quite cheaply, however if the mast is damaged then this will not be possible. I'd look into generic ones from somewhere like Maplin for ~£35.

got sim problem with mine exept mine not go up or down all the way --- priced £23 from toyota dealer for a new mast my mate at a garage said it is fairly easy to do just a bit fiddley as you have to get it just right
