Where Can I Get Technical Data?

Anyone know where I can obtain technical data for mark 2 RAV4 (mine is a 2 litre VX auto). Recently had it in for a service at RRG Stockport, who told me front discs were on minimum at 23mm, and needed replacing. When I did some research I found that they're only 25mm when new. Anyone know what/how I could find the correct data on this? the discs have only lasted 10000 miles since last replacement and I am doubting the need to do all this work.

not saying this is the case...

But it seems to be common practice for some garages to specify work required on brakes during a service which is unessacery.

The fact is, it is only a visual inspection - and im pretty sure if you called them back and told them the discs have only been on 10k - they will suddenly tell you "oh, im sure they'll be fine for a while then - it is only a visual inspection yada yada"...

This is the recent thread about discs and dealers :angry:LINK

thanks to all members for advice, seems the minimum on fronts is 23mm and garage insist they measured them, not sure why they've worn so fast (assuming of course that previous dealer did the job they said they did).

RRG said discs only last 20K by the way, which I just don't support. Afraid the car won't be visiting Mr T again.
