Mk2 Turbo Engine Warning Lamps

There appears to be 2 engine warning lamps on a customers car, one orange, one red, Anyone with a clue what the red one is with the figure of 8 to its left?

best thing to do is to check the ecu error codes, this can be done for free by locating the diagnostics box in the rear left (behind drivers door) of the engine bay and shorting E1 & T1 (better check other posts as its been a while) and turning ignition to on to find the error codes reported by the ECU, if you post those here we should be able to figure out wahts wrong!

THe Ecu messgaes are shown in the dash by the flashing of the orange engine bulb flashing, it should flash a certain number of times pause and then flash again eg flash, flash, pause, flash would be error code 21....
