Just booked my 54 plate T2, 1.8 Pertol Avensis in for a 2 year service. Surprised to hear £225. Most of its is simply inspecting seems the only change tis he oil. They advise the engine is flushed, Included in price. But then an additional £45 to change the brake fluid. (Tot £270)

Am i being ripped off?

Hi. I have a 53 1.8 T3-X auto and I live in Edinburgh and so it's likely that I use the same dealer as billsinc. My 20K service in 2005 was £264.92 which included changing the brake fluid and the usual dealer rip-off of £ 29.75 for oil and £2.41 for screenwash. It was £176.46 for the service (incl. brake fluid), plus £32.50 for changing the brake fluid, plus DCM? £10 and Environmental protection fee (disposal of oil) £6.50, plus VAT £39.46. I used to have a Mercedes E240 and the major service was near £500!!!
