Remote Yaris Key Fob

Hi, iv jus been on the phone to several dealerships regarding a price for a new remote key fob for my t-sport. all have quoted me around £180 give or take a couple of quid. iv noticed many of you have had new keys purchased for around £120, is this price with discount or have these keys suddenley gone up in price? maybe im just being ripped off! Im thinking i had better get one incase the remote fob iv got knackers up or gets nicked!! dont want to be paying for a new ECU! Cheers guys!

Sounds like that's the right kind of price. New keys etc. really do seem to be an incredible rip-off :(

Hello.

Kings Toyota in Southampton was £120 then £50 to do the coding.

I have just bought a £7 key from eBay (HK), CE0123 (have been told this can be cut to size by another member)

So, £4 to cut = £11

I still have the original key, so will be putting the transmitter in the new Shell when it arrives.

Thanks for the help guys. im hoping the £180 iv been quoted includes coding! If thats the case i'll tell them not to bother with the coding and i'll do it myself following the guides previously posted.

Just another quick question. if i manage to get hold of a second hand key, does anyone know if it could be re-programmed to my car?

No.....but your car`s immobilizer system can be programmed to the key!!! But whats the point, as it won`t fit the lock! unless you are really lucky and find one with the same number as your original car keys.

Was jus gonna keep the transmittor part and use this alongside my grey key if anythin happened to my remote key. Im gonna bite the bullet anyway and order a new key from toyota next week. Thanks for the help
