Knocking And Squeeking

Hi

I'm getting a knock from the front passenger side of my car. I've searched for forums and everyone seems to say fig 8 link and lower arm, however i've just looked at my car and it appears that i don't have the super strut suspension even though it is an import. So i'm asking for advice as i'm a bit stuck.

Here's everything I can think of

1) It knocks when going straight and also when going right

2) It seems to squeek almost like the wheel is rubbing on the arch when turning right

3) The knocking goes most of the time if i put my foot down a bit more

4) Happens mostly between 25-40mph

5) If I dip the cluch it goes away

6) When it's wet it doesn't do it as much

7) Can take 10-15 minutes before it happens

8) There is a quiet knock when clutch bites at when moving from stationary

A mechanic has had a look but sods law it didn't knock when he took it out twice. He checked the CV joints etc he said.

The Car is a 1995 N GT i think its done around 145,000km

Thanks for your time

Mike

Not sure what it could be.

Talking of knocking my Gen6 GT has started to knock from the front when I'm reversing, kinda worrying, hoping its not the engine mounts or something.

Seems to do it when i dip the clutch and then let it back out to engage reverse, kind of like a clunk noise. :os.

Any1 got any ideas? gona have to get it down the garage pronto I think.
