Advice Re: Reverse Light Fault...

It was only noticed today that one of my reverse lights doesn't light up and I was wondering since I've only had my car a month and a half would I be entitled to have something like this fixed up by Mr T free of charge? I'm sure it's something simple as a loose connection but I don't want to end up paying £50 for something that really shouldn't be happening on a brand new car!

I'll give them a ring tomorrow to see what they can do but I just wanted to run this by you guys.

If its just the bulb then it will be a couple of quid at the most. If you ask nicely, i'm sure they will help you with fitting it.

If its anything more than a blown bulb, then the warranty should cover it.

I could be wrong as I don't have one but I thought the Aygo only has 1 reversing light anyway. Is the one in the same position the other side not the rear fog?

I couldn't tell you. I've not picked mine up yet and didn't take much notice of it in the show room.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I always thought cars in general had reversing lights on both sides but if it's not the case that it's only got a light on the one side then I might be wrong. But I'll check it out with Mr T tomorrow.

A lot of cars only have one reverse light, which makes sense. I'm fairly certain the Aygo only has one. The Yaris certainly only has one. Check the manual.

Nothing in the manual about it, but did check with Mr T this morning and they confirmed there's only one. I'm getting confused because every car my dad had and friends' cars as well all come with a set of two rather than one. But thanks anyways guys :)

they only have one reverse light on the left hand side (the middle bulb)

on the other side its a single rear fog light. id of prefered to have twin reverse lights look nicer, but suppose i wont be able to see it anyway so not really too bothered, and i dont think i'll ever find myself in the situation where i need to use the rear fog light.
