Well added another 200 miles to my Aygo black now, we have done about 450 in 5 days. its a great car.

Had a bit of a disaster on Thursday when we badly scored one of the alloys by getting to close to the curb ;-)

Its now got a nasty scrape and grove in it. :censor:

Does anyone know what they black alloys are called and how much a new one is? I think we will have to get a new one.

I ahve done about 50% of my Aygo time on motorways and although its a little short of power it still performs well there.

The only problem that I am having is the driving mirror, I will have to replace it, its too small and I am constantly adjusting it. Only problem is I dont know what the options are for replacing driving mirrors?

Man am I happy I didn't go for the alloys. Had to make some 'interesting' manouvers in town over the weekend, and now have some unpleasant scrapes on my plastic hub caps. Being crappy hub caps, I couldn't care less. If I'd ruined my alloys.... :ffs:

Do you mean the rear view mirror? Mine's crap. No matter what I do, all I get is a view of the road directly behind my car. I can't get it to give me a view of what's actually behind me without really slouching down in the seat.

Hi Everpain, yes the rear view mirror, its terrible isnt it. Trouble is I am not sure what to do about it, someone on the 107 OC board said that you can get something from Halfords that goes over the top of the existing one, I mightg have a look at that but I think I would prefer to replace the current thing completly with a mirror that works.

I've never had a problem with my rear view mirror. But i suppose its what your used to. Id give it a chance before buying another one.

Acutally the only problem with mine was it was loose, so Toyota re fitted it for me!

Think the problem is the roofline, he way the top of the back window is quite low to the rest of the height of the car, and is exaggerated by the short length of the roofline, (doest n't help if you are lanky too like me) along time ago my father drove a DS and seem to remember the rear view mirror mounted on the top of the dashboard.

I suppose it really does depend on your height as I haven't noticed a problem with my rear view mirror but I am a shortie so the angle is probably right for me. I've seen rear view mirrors fitted with an extra mirror on top or bottom which you should be able to get from Halfords no problem.

I'm glad myself I never went for alloys as I knew I had to park half on the pavement outside my house when I got the car and knew that I would scratch them. And lo and behold there is a whole network of scars on the hub caps on the passenger side wheels!

New alloy wheel arriving on Friday cost 125 pounds! Hope I dont do that again, addition remote key fob also arriving Friday another 125 Pounds, looks as though the AYGO isnt that cheap to run ;-)

Been looking at the mirror problem and I think it is something to do with the roofline as suggested by P107, interesting comment from Angelicevil on this being height related as I do have a problem and I am very short (5ft 4 in).

I think I may try the Halfords mirror and see if it helps a bit even if all it does is gives be a view of the inside of my car...

Now done 750 mile since I picked it up 1 week ago. Still love it.. We have another new arrival due this week.... its call R32 ;-)

I am also quite short and feel that the rear view is relativley poor but due to the size of the wing mirrors it compensates slightly. Personally I think it is bearable but I can understand what P107 says about the roof coming down at the back. I have put my rear headrests down so I get a better view. Try flicking the switch backwards and forwards underneath the mirror also to see if that helps you in anyway.

BBVTEC, I have been playing with it a bit this week and I still dont like the mirror but I do think its more the roofline and the size of the mirror however I think a larger mirror will just give me a nice view of the inside of the car :) but I would still prefer the mirror to be bigger.

I tried to get a clip on one at Halfords yesterday but they didnt have any in stock.

Had a call from Toyota today saying that the replacement wheel promised for tomorrow might not come in due to "a quality control issue" ....

Not sure why you need a rear view mirror in Aygo - all traffic is in front of you :D

You should know better! Aygo's get very upset at that sort of talk.
