Lacquer Bubbling On Alloys

I noticed whilst cleaning my Avensis the some of the lacquer on the one or 2 of my alloys wheels was starting to bubble near the centre cap - nothing drastic. I dropped into my local dealer and asked his opinion - expecting the usual "well sir its now nearly 3 yrs old and this is to be expected" routine.

But was pleasantly surprised when he agreed there and then to replace all four alloys with brand new wheels when the car was in for its 3 year service and MoT on Thursday. For once all I could say was "thank you "

My advice to you all would be to check for signs of bubbling and get down to your dealer if there is any sign at all. Most of my alloys have been kerbed at some point or another so I am chuffed.
