hiya...i have a 1998 camry v6 which has developed a sudden problem...the sunroof and the 3 passenger windows will not work from any window button..the drivers window works fine....also (this is a strange 1) if my rear defogger is on and my passenger door is closed the doors attempt to lock but dont lock just the workings click...everything else seems to be working fine...has anyone any idea...i need some help on this one i have checked fuses all seem fine i tested them with tester..but not sure what the black one behind coin tray is.....sick toyota

Possible Integration Relay fault but not sure where they're located on a Camry. Possibly in the fusebox. Look for a black box on/near the main fusebox behind the dashboard. Remove this and leave it out for about 10 minutes, re-connect it and try the functions that you described were faulty. If still not right, then you'll have to dig deeper.

Also, have you checked that the 'kill' swich isn't pressed down on the drivers side multi-switch panel?

thanks for your quick reply on this one..yip i have checked the switch on the drivers master window controller..that intergration relay you talk of would it be under the dash? a big block type?

On a Mk1 Avensis, the integration relay is part of the dashboard fusebox. Its a big, black block with an orange multiplug connector attached to it. Not sure where these are on a Camry, but if you find what I've described then disconnect & remove it completely for about 10mins and refit. The integration relay failing was a common fault on the early Avensis and,from what you describe, the faults on your chariot could be related. I hope you find this useful -Roy. :thumbsup:

ok have found the relay intergration box...behind fusebox.....to remove..two clips on each side pop them then pull it back might be tight then remove multi-plug..tomorrow i will swap with another one..i havnt tried to leave it for 10 min and then plug it back in..i want to swap it with a known working one..hopefully it fits the camry model is a year or 2 older than mine.......let everone no soon

ok people....swopped relay intergation unit......good job working again...but didnt fix everyting, just the sunroof/windows....the problem with the central locking clicking when passsenger fron door was closed/with rear defogger on...was a broken earth wire in the passenger footwell/kickpanel...so thats it for now my fuel hungry v6 is back to form for now
