Yaris Window Tint

calling all owners of yaris/vitz who have tinted their windows.

i tinted my windows with a light tint. the rear side windows gave me trouble as bubbles just kept coming up....anyway with a bit of patience and a heat gun we got around that problem.

BUT about 4 days later loads of scratches started coming out which looks REALLY crap.

on the back windows the scratches came in a pattern which looked like the strokes of the palette i was using. could be the problem?

on the front windows however i got perfect vertical scratches which looked like they came from putting the windows up and down...

anyone have the same problem? anyone know a solution?

i WANT tint but i DONT WANT scratches...

help please!

Hi RFvitz

First of all welcome to the club mate  I have got my windows tinted. Toyota did this from new. After a while i noticed a few scuff marks on the window. Thought nothink about it as my wifes motor is the same. But one day i noticed a large line running down the window.

That really :censor: me off. What i think it is dirt that has got into the window mechanism and when you wind the window up and down it make's a scratch on the film. So now i jet wash the rubber on the window. This seems to stop the dirt getting in and there for stops me picking up new scratches. I dont think that the window needs realigning as you would no this as the window wouldn't go up properly.

ok i guess that could be partially the problem. but even the scratch marks of the palette which we used while tinting left swipe marks..

could it possibly be a crappy tint film?? maybe its bad quality and scratches too easily?

or am i talkin from my *****?
