Celica Immobiliser

I read somewhere that there are several modes of immobiliser, depending on how many times you activate the key fob. I'm blowed if I can find the instructions again - it's not in the handbook.

As we have a dog which we occasionally leave in the car, I need to be able to lock the car but inactivate the internal motion sensor. How many clicks of the fob?

thanks

Kev

Which celica do you have?

If it's the Gen 6 one i have, you do it by switching the slider on the side of the fob across, when you activate it without the motion sensor enabled it beeps twice, with it enabled it beeps three times. If it's not, then someone else will help.

Need to get my alarm sorted, pretty certain its the standard one but I dont have a key fob. I have to open the door with key, and use this "stick" that clicks into a 'two prong' button on the dash, i have to do it twice and then it tries to unlock the doors, and then I can finally start the engine without the alarm going off.

Not sure what to do, would gettin a new alarm system solve this problem? Any suggestions on what I should get....

Cheers!

No, my fob doesn't have a slider on the side - it's the new model celica, 53 plate.

Slider?? What slider?? Just press lock once and you get full alarm, press lock again and it deactivates the alarm so the dog wont set it off. That's for my 96 Gen 6 anyway TVSS II - I think

I understand on the 7th. generation Celica that the following operates the alarm / locking system :

1 st. click of button - locks doors.

2 nd. click of button dead locks and sets alarm.

3 rd. click of button disables alarm, but keeps dead locks on.

If I'm not right I'm sure o Celica owner will put you right !!!

I just read this with interest. Am I supposed to have remote central locking with my car? All I have is a key. It is a 1995 st202 import. Does it have remote? How can I order a fob thingy if it does?

Thanks
