I am looking at that sad computer panel only giving info on milage (as I don't have GPS). Do you think we could use it as a MOTEC terminal? Could it be done with some programing? It would sure be nice to compute all the temp and pressure there, no :) ? The sensors must be there on the bloc for the ECU, and it's easy to add the ones that could be missing... So lets go find us our new GURU

Do I understand that you see no interest in having your OIL, WATER, temperature and pressure monitored ?????

Going back a few years to when Computer modding took off, I know a lot of people used to install matrix orbital LCDs (MO LCDs) in their PCs as these were fully programmable and could pick up - amongst other things - a full range of temperatures from various sensors dotted around the PC hardware. And as they were designed for PCs, they also run off 12v

Something like that may be a viable solution as 'm sure you could get a MO LCD with the same dimensions as the current dash lcd.

I think there is definately a market for a standalone device to measure all of the temps etc - but also do the mpg calcs etc, for people who want to replace the standard head unit.

Certainly loosing the MPG info is a big downside to installing a new unit, but if someone can make something to replace it, I for one would be very happy.
