Hi. Did anyone ever have to change a sideligtt bulb on the drivers side. Seems impossible to get at without dismantling the whole front . any help appreciated cheers

I've been thinking of asking a similar question - how to get at a headlight bulb on my new Rav4. I don't need to change one yet but, should one blow whilst on the road, it's not much use carrying spares if you can't fit them. The nearside looks just about feasible but the offside...

After reading this thread i took a look in the owners handbook....and it looks straight forward, so not wanting to seem a clever dicky,so i went out to my Rav to take a look.... , can see any other way to do the O/S side light without taking the headlamp out or removing the washer bottle filler tube (if it come apart ).......so well done Toyota, what a crap place to put a bulb holder :) .

No.....sidelight bulb as in small bulb in headlamp unit :( .

hi clawhammer, i managed by unclipping the plastic under the driverside wheel arch . u can reach it from there ok.

Thanks for replying. I checked what you said and ehere is indeed a small hole when the plastic is removed.

(never would have thought of looking there) I will have a try at changing bulb tomorrow. cheers.
