If I Bought A Toyota Avensis From An Auction..

If i bought a new shape Avensis from an auction would the warranty still be valid? As ive read a few reports of headlight problems and certain items being recalled, would this mean i would still be eligible to take the car to any Toyota dealer? providing it's not over 60k or 3 years of course.

Mine came from an auction and had the "spontaneously Disintegrating Headlamp" feature at 63K (just under three years old). Dealer wanted to see the service history and seemed happy with the lease company print out - which was mainly Toyota Dealers. However, it only resulted in a small discount because the headlamp had done more than 60K !

Toyota's of old carried on forever with no worries - now you hope it breaks before the three years are up so its fixed for free !

That's a disturbingly accurate observation ! Bring back the good old days .
