C'ant Go With No Stereo

Anybody got any idea whats happened to the radio in my T sport. First the sound went but the buttons kept working ,then a day later nothing worked on the radio only the trip button even the cd wont eject and now we have noticed the buttons dont light up when the lights are switched on but they come on after about a minute. I think the poor thing might need some surgery, anybody got any ideas ?

maybe its on a plug if you catch my drift and its got strained somehow and been pulling apart or maybe the connectors have been pulling out of the back of the stereo?

might explain how sound went(sound connectors disconnected, others still making connection), then unit stopped working but still lit up(after sound connectors disc'd, the main power discd) and then the lights gave up the ghost(the light power connector discd)

is something physically straining the wires at the back of the stereo? maybe have a look and see if its still connected.... and if possible multi test the connections from the Battery along the way and see if its still grounded and got power going to it....
