I was mighty impressed by the Focus ST when I test drove one earlier this year and was dead set on buying one in the new year, but the prices are still high for the ST3 spec (I really want leather)

Recently though, I've been a bit tempted by the Corolla Compressor, and having been the proud owner of a facelfit T Sport previously I know what they're about, so when I spotted one in black with full leather/alcantara and lots of extras I'm feeling verrry tempted! It's alot of money though (high side of £17k) but is it worth it for the exclusivity and advantages over the T Sport???

What do you guys think??? Is the Corolla too old and is the ST too common???

Spec wise i would have to pick the Focus, its a brand new car so there isn't much the Compressor can do to match this. On the other hand, the performance of the compressor is less compromising ( i have test driven both). The Focus reminds me of a Megane 225 (also test driven) and neither the Megane or the Focus impressed me that much. If you like a progressive drive then i would say Focus/Megane, but for a raw experience then go for the compressor.

Also, i have been reading their forum and the Focus seems to be suffering a few niggly problems.

I think its great, £40-£45 for a tankfull campared to £60 for the GT4 and IS200

Saw your rolla the other night K19NE G looks brilliant in red mate bet u wish you had never sold it.

I am sorry I sold it, but I tend to get bored (for want of a better word) of cars after a year or so! Saying that, I never got bored of the lift he he! :D I did love it though... and as I said above if a Compressor in red with a few extras and at the right money came up I'd jump at it!

back to subject (szorry havent read all replies lol)

i had the predicment when i was buying the cts

i was a ford fan , just sold my xr3i cabriolet and fiesta turbo and was sure i was gonna buy the fiesta st , but then test drove it and was utter disapointed !

i found i got so much more car for my money with toyota then i did with ford , dunno if it will be same with the 2 cars your thinking of but with ford i even had to pay extra for the middle head rest , esp etc ! where its standard with toyota !

im still shocked to this day i went jap , when i love fords so much , and i would love a focus st too but i got too sensible with my money and wanted more car for it

who woulda thought a year later i would be trying to sell the corolla and if i got 8k for her i will be loosing nearly 3 k :crybaby:
