Centre Caps

I've got some standard Toyota alloys which basically look woeful without the centre caps so I'm looking at replacing them to help sell my car, got a few quick questions though.

1) Where the hell do they go? When I bought my car I had 2, 1 did a runner after a while & now recently I've lost the other. I'm guessing they come off while driving or are they just nicked for some reason?

2) Where would be the best place to get them replaced? I'm thinking a local scrappy but any other ideas?

3) How much are they likely to cost? Just so I don't get pwned when I go to buy some.

Thanks all

pwned :P

Best bet would be to contact your local dealer. Shouldn't be too expensive, but with Toyota you never know.

Nah, based on the prices of everything else I'll stay well clear of Mr T, any1 got any idea how much I should expect to pay a scrappy for them?

No idea how much they'll cost but a scrappy is probably the best bet.

Having said that, Mr T has some things that are surprisingly low priced compared to the prices they ask for some other things. These caps won't be too expensive, I don't think and a phone call to them to find out costs little whilst a walk there if near enough costs nothing at all!

Could save searching around local scrapyards.

You could just stand at the side of the road and wait for some to fall off another car. Like you said, they must end up somewhere !

I think the Toyota garage does them for about £5 a pop. I bought 5 off eBay for £8 a while back as spares. There's some on eBay at the moment in various shapes and sizes.

Yeah, I phoned Mr T last night & they said they're between £5 & £10 a wheel, depending on what you've got (varies lots apparantly). There are some I'm watching on eBay that I might bid for, depending on what other bids they get, I'm only after them to help sell my car so I'm not spending major cash
