Rumours....?

Wow guys, it's been really quiet on the TOC front. Where is everyone?

Well, I'm not sure how much of this is true, but my local Toyota dealer phoned t'other day to let me know they could get get me a Celica GT to test drive, not that I fancy one quite yet as I'm enjoying the great Autumnal weather too much  , but wouldn't mind getting a little more power under the foot!

Whilst talking, he mentioned something about a new Toyota car in the pipeline that involved the MR2 and Celica, when I asked him to elaborate...*SILENCE*... then I asked him could he tell me more, he said 'oh I can't because nobody knows about it yet'

Has anyone heard of this murmur from Toyota? The mystery continues.....

Hello.

Still all here………honest ;)

My wife has got the 190 VVTLi Celica and I must admit its pulling performance is very impressive compared to the Roadster but as far as the grin factor goes La Slapa wins hands down.. :D

As far as the hybrid goes there have been rumours floating around for over a year, sadly as far as performance goes in what ever they produce it will probably be yet another diluted version of past marques (MkII turbo  ), only time will tell.

imagine a upturned washing up tub engineered to have a COD of 0.001, with a downtuned strimmer engine.... in fact the engine might not be an option... add some daft headlights and loads of usless electonic garbage to keep the hippys happy

voila!

a new toyota sportscar

Ahh sorry - i read usless electonic garbage as the trip computers, MPG gauges, sat nav, rotating vanity mirrors with inbuilt botox...

perhaps just because the driver aids are more commonly known as electronic nanny installs to numb the driving experience as much as possible.

Lets not forget the lovely cloth seats, since leather is cruel to animals, and everyone should eat lentils and recycle their daily mail's!
