Potential Corolla Purchase

Hi all,

Thinking about Selling my 2001 Avensis 1.8 VVT-I + wife's 2005 Yaris 1.3 VVT-I CC & buying a Corolla.

Tempted by 1.4 D4-D T3 or possibly 1.6 VVT-I in T3 spec. I have seen a D4-D in T2 spec for £9995 with 125 miles on clock.

What would you go for? 1.4 Diesel or 1.6 Petrol, T2 or T3? I know T3 is higher spec, but is it worth holding out for?

Your thoughts please............ :help:

hubby had the 2l diesel d4-d and usng that was the whole reason i went and test drove the t-sport , never woulda looked otherwise !

id prob go for the diesel if your not worried about power . cos if u go for the 1.6 , then u may asswell go for the 1.8 t-sport hehehe

To be honest I have considered T-Sport, but still have 2 teenagers at home so need 4-door really.

I am more of an economy freak opposed to performance, so suppose the 1.4 Diesel is besy option.

I'm just worried about less boot space in Corolla as my Avensis is Cavernous & is very handy with rear seats folded down.

What is best fuel consumption figure you have had out of the T-Sport?

Well it depends how old a car you are willing to consider because Toyota discontinued the 5 door T-Sport after the 53 reg. I just did a quick search on the site for used cars and spotted a 5 door CTS in black with only 14k on the clock and a 53 reg for £9.3k in the midlands.

What sort of MPG do you usually get?
