Door Problems With My St

:help: Help needed from more experienced celica owners....

Strange thing happened the other day. Went to close the drivers door on my gen6 ST, and noticed a dirty great gap at the top of the window. Having tried to shut it again a couple of times, started to get a bit jumpy. Gap was big enough to stick my fingers out.

Tried winding the window up / down, but electric window was not working either! :ffs:

Got out to see if looked better from outside, shut the door and it was fine. No gap.....

 Feeling a bit puzzled, got back in, tried again and....perfect. Window then worked too.

Happened a couple of times now, but can't seem to make it happen. Door seems fine, hinges are solid, door hasn't dropped. Window seems to be pretty secure too.

Anyone had a similar problem? Could do with some pointers before I strip the door panel off.

Your best off taing the door card off to have a better look.

Could just be a simple greaseing issue on the rollers .. get some WD40 shot in the channels where the wheels go along and move it up and down a few times to see if you can see any obstructions.

You're right. I'll have to get the card off this weekend. I've found a thread on removing the door card. Plenty of pics so should be simple enough.

Thanks for the advice.
