I'm not sure it's a good idea.

The thing is, The ECU 'learns' your driving style so if you drive hard then it adapts to it.

If you reset it, I assume by disconnecting the Battery, then it has to start again.

I had my Battery off while I disconnected the air intake snorkel. The car did not seem as good until it had been driven in traffic for a while.

I don't know if it's a coincidence but my one-touch windows stopped operating in auto for a few hours until they decided to start working again.

Might be a sign of the sort of thing that happens when the Battery is off ;)

The thing for you to do is dyno it first then do it again after your 'reset'.

Then tell us the difference

There is quite alot of info about ECU resets on the AU site.

You are supposed to run the car off lift for the first 50 miles or so - and then reg it as much as possible for a bit after that. If you run it too quickly (ie on lift) right from the off the ECU rejects the data.

The electric windows thing is a symptom of the reset - apparently all you need to do is to push the electric window button down - then hold it for a few seconds - then press it up and hold if for a few seconds. Also think you are "supposed" to do the passenger side first.
