The ABS light came on on my g/f's Picnic. I tested the wheel speed sensors to find one down. I replaced it and checked all four were working ok and they are but the light is still on. Should the light go out by itself if theres no fault present or does it need resetting? If it needs resetting how is this done? Thanks.

Hi picnic look for your diagnosis socket. If you have the type under the bonnet which is oblong with a litle cap over the top, then disconnect the Battery for 30 seconds. If you have the D shaped DIN socket inside the car- usually around the driver's footwell area, then this type needs a reader to clear the DTC's

Hi Ray. I have a diagnostic socket in the engine bay but Toyota plugged their kit in under the footwell. I have had the Battery disconnected for several hours but with no joy so I assume I will have to take a trip to the big guys. Thanks for your advice though.
