Hi, I own an 2000 reg avensys. Just noticed that no water is coming if i switch windscreen wash. Opened the bonnet, and found the pipe had broken, where it splits into two (for both nozzel). I bought a connector and the tube to connect. Now my problem is that the join at the nozzle is also broken, and i was wondering how to fix that. Could'nt open it at all..:ffs:

Sorry if my problem is not clear .. or use of cnfusin terminology..Let me know if i need to explain better.

Thanks in advance...

Cheers,

Dew

If the plastic end nozzle is damaged where it joins the rubber hose you will need to get a replacement. I cant see how you could repair that.

Not sure what you mean by 'couldn't open it at all'? Do you mean you couldn't get the hose off or couldn't get the nozzle off the bonnet?

The nozzle is released by squeezing the two interior 'lugs' together with a pair of fine nosed pliers from the underside of the bonnet. This will release the nozzle towards the outside of the bonnet. Once this is released it will be easier to gently remove the rubber hose (if that's a problem).

With the nozzle in your hand you may see a way to repair it but I doubt it. The only real possibilties are epoxy resin/putty, or superglue. A dealer or breakers yard is your best bet.

Yeah, I was going to get a replacement, i just couldn't get the nozzle off the bonnet. I think once am able to do that, i would be able to see the part needing replacing and get it from the shop.

I will see if i can do it myself tonight, as it's not very accessible and I dont have a plier.

Cheers,

Dew
