How Many Yaris T-sports Were Made?

As the title.....how many Yaris T-Sports were made? Just wondering, because they seem to be quite hard to come by, certainly in this part of the country anyway.

I'd started looking for mine about 2 months before I bought it, and in that time only 2 came up, and were sold before I got chance to view. I viewed and put a deposit down on mine the same day as it was advertised, and since then only one more has been put up for sale. This is doing an Autotrader search with a 60 mile radius. If I do a 100 mile radius search, there's around 12 for sale, although most of these are the same ones that have been listed for quite a while. Prices seem to stay quite high too - do they hold their value pretty well?

Are they that hard to get hold of elsewhere too?

Its difficult to say...

I mean look on the forums and the T-Sport outnumbers all other Yaris models

But in the real world I expect its the other way around. There are a fair number of T-Sports out there, I wouldnt know where to find out exactly how many Toyota have sold in the 5 years they've been produced.

Could be something to do with you being based in Devon. As a quick search on the AT here in the Midlands produces a fair few T-Sports for sale, 5 pages actually

I would imagine Toyota would include the T-Sport in with general Yaris sales, they dont tend to publish "We sell x amount of T2's, x amount of T3's" etc etc they give a general number of total model sales so the T-Sport sales will more than likely be incorporated into the Yaris sales as a whole

Well Rallybunny I agree T-Sports are difficult to get hold of. I found three in Dorset, Devon and Somerset and another 5 in the South up towards London and three sold in the day before I got round to looking at them. Have finally found one ( picking it up tomorrow :D ) but it wasn't advertised at the dealership or on the web having just been traded in the day before. We wanted a 5 door and they are like hens teeth the others were all 3 door. agree prices are higher but when you look at extra for T-Sport it seems worth it. The other problem is the dealers are quite efficient at keeping them in the network unlike the 1.3's and 1L which are ten a penny at the car supermarkets. ps I hope they hold their value well

Never thought of it like that. There were 2 advertised with Marsh Toyota when I was looking, but when I went in to enquire further, they were both already sold. I actually bought mine from the same dealer that originally supplied it - they used to be a Toyota dealer, but are now a Daihatsu dealer, but Toyota specialist. It has been down to Cornwall in the meantime though.

It just amazes me how few there are for sale - and I've only seen 2 in Torbay since I've had mine, both in thunder grey. B) And I saw another at the last Exeter Jap meet, although I don't think that one was there for the meet.

I've just done a nationwide search for "yaris" and "1.5" in the used car section of Toyota's site and found 78.

17 of them are within 39 miles of where I live so we seem to have got most of them up North!

They all seem to be cheaper "oooop North" too!!! I know when I was looking at the new Micra too (so glad I didn't get one, they're horrible :blushing: ), the 160SR was on average £1k cheaper up North. Not so much of a difference with the Yaris, but the cheapest ones always seem to be the furthest away from here.

Have you tried searching for 1.5? I've just searched for "T-Sport" & got 2 results, searched for "1.5" & got 30-odd

well for us Yorkshire lads down in the SouthWest price comes into the equation, perhaps I should have said "within my price range " for those of us with more muck than brass, am sure would have found loads more with 10 grand to spend. Well at least I get to own mine tomorrow at long last after its visit to Marsh's body shop ( scratched spoiler and scuffed bumpers courtesy of its one previous lady owner). Doesn't look like I will get some great shots for the register however as they forecast rain :(

Oh the T Sport looks great in any weather and if it's Thunder Grey, even better! It looks darker.

There seem to be a stack in the midlands/manchester area, but they're pretty rare up here too...

Well Al thanks I will get some pics anyway on it's first day with shiny new spoiler. I still don't know how she managed to gouge the spoiler so badly. Going back to the original thread is there a plate with the number of the build record within the vin or elsewhere? On my other motor I know exactly how many they built before mine so we could look at all club members to find the highest number nearest to end of build run to guestimate how many they built. I'll ask the garage tomorrow to see what they know.

Brings up 1 extra. Reckon we must be T-Sport deprived in the south west then.

I've had a look but I cant find anything that gives an amount of how many of each car/spec that Toyota has made - I presume that kind of data would be kept within Toyota?

There seems to be a few around the South-East, I see a Balearic Blue 04 plate one & a 5 Door TG T-Sport every now and then near here. I would say that the T3's do seem to be popular, especially 12 miles away where I work - see a lot of them...the T-Sports seem to be the least frequent!

They tend to be under "T Sport" or "Tsport" rather than "T-Sport"

"T sport" brings up 1

"1.5" brings up 2

"Tsport" and "T-sport" bring up none

Nearest Toyota main dealer to have one on the Toyota used car listings is 75 miles away!

I'm really surprised that it's so regional though, how weird.

I work for toyota myself and tell me about, our garage has been open for a year (yesterday) and in that year we have only had 2 in and i bought the second :) as trade in's and only 1 or 2 for services.

Quite rare indeed! But its nice to see something else on the road apart from corsa's and saxo's! :)

You were right it looks good even when the heavens have opened, my first look since it had been cleaned up by the garage so now I own it at long last. I asked the question concerning numbers of T sports and hopefully will get an answer back, will let you all know.......

Was going to put up some pix but other forum members have said not to bother with a standard car, is that what I can expect from TOC , we all have to start somewhere.

Don't be silly, a car doesn't have to be modded to be beautiful, get some pics posted

Thanks so much Ed :) , well the sun is out today so when the condensation clears I'll see if I can get some pics. I have found everybody else helpful and the galleries are superb to see how something would look and how much it will cost. I've the got the plate so far ( have you checked out the blue Yaris on the DVLA site when you put your dream number to see how it would like, recommended  and hope to get some mats and tax holder over the weekend. Cheers Chris
