What an interesting thread.

On the whole I think people on this forum give very good advice. A lot of the time it can seem repetitive but then a lot of time it usually is the most sensible answer.

I suggest that we at least listen to advice :!Removed!: (don't have to take it), make the most of what we do have :P , and enjoy the fact that we all own a great car :toast:

I personally bought my GT because I think it's a dayum sexy car and I love it to bits. I CAN afford a GT4 and dont' want to get one until I have either killed my GT or found a cheap 78 Camero like the one I had in the states. Power is fine but I like people to look and say "My god I haven't seen one of those in years." That being said. If I was going to "play" with tuning I would buy a GT4 for the sheer hell of it.

Its good to see that for a post of such a nature has not turned into a complete slanging match!! Just me and millencolin in the beginning but we are at peace now!

just want to know, does the TRD panel filter make similar noises to the induction kit?!?!? Never had a panel filter before but someone has got a new one for sale at £25!

and its for my GT  ;)

You wont get the noise of an induction kit from a panel filter, the air box is still there so silences it

Not so sure you won`t get a louder induction noise. I had a K&N panel filter in my M5 and it was definately louder (Much more sucky) but it may have been down to the airbox design.

Remove the resonator box(s), drill a hole in the airbox and make a cool air feed to it... doing this will make it perform well and sound alot better

:thumbsup: Trd panelf filter + few holes = slight induction sound. Ats what i've got , quite subtle sound though . Drowned out by the exhaust though , deffo feels better than the induction kit !!

I recently bought a TRD filter, drilled holes and removed the resonator box. Makes a nice sound when under load (can only really hear it from the outside), but I'm really not convinced about the performance. It may be marginally more responsive but I really can't feel any other difference. Still, you get a nice "TRD Sports Filter" sticker to put on the front of the box to brighten up the engine bay. :yahoo:
