Knock Sensor Help.

Just been doing a bit of reading up on the starlet gt and i was wondering if the knock sensor was bad,would the car not run right as in boosting and stuff..

it probably wouldn't run well, but you'd get a engine check light come on.

Ok,i have a check engine light on the dash alright so that must be why as the connection on my knock sensor

was broken off and the car kinda felt like it was running on low boost and there is a pinking noise from the engine..Thanks for the reply..
