Sticky Rear Hatch Switch On Aygo-common Design Fault.

Recommended Posts

Posted

The black hatch button used to open the rear glass on my Aygo Sport has started to stick and sometimes remaining fully depressed and leaving me unable to open the glass hatch door in the process!! :censor:

Bl***y typical considering it was fine up until yesterday and escaped any problems before having the car serviced just last Friday! :censor:

I've tried lubricant sprays but still no use. Any one know any ideas how to rectify this or is it backto Mr. T for a warranty job???

A friend in the know tells me it's a common niggling problem(sticky hatch switch) on Aygo and it's sisters 107, C1..... Can anyone confirm this rumour or has anybody else exp'd same problem as well?

Comments appreciated.

Yes like the carpet wearing under the clutch this is a common problem and mentioned in the FAQ on this site.

I cured mine by taking off the cover in the boot and liberally applying WD40 and petroleum (sp) jelly.

Looks like a visit to Mr T then!

Thanks :D
