Hi All

Recently got my 02 1.8vvti GS avensis and still coming to terms with it.

Getting the hang of the sat nav system but having concerns re the "traffic monitoring"

Whenever I press the traffic on route option it tells me that monitoring is ON and voice is ON,

but above it, it always says (wherever I am) NO TMC RECEPTION.

I have the little extra box fitted to the sat nav box in the boot and it 'appears' to be connected(ie wired up).

and it always says NO TRAFFIC PROBLEMS ON ROUTE. Admittedly I haven't yet encountered any

problems for it to tell me about, just concerned about the NO TMC RECEPTION bit.

Any thoughts or advise gratefully appreciated

What's this then 120 views and not a single reply! C'mon guys I need your help.

Would anyone with a similar SAT Nav just have a look at their LCD and tell me if the letters TMC are in BOLD print. Mine look as if they are 'greyed out'.

Then when I look in the Menu at traffic directions mine says "NO TMC RECEPTION"

No matter where I am I always get these same responses.

Any HELP appreciated as I'm about to go into conflict with MR T.
