....and got out the Meguiars. I've been dying to wash my car for weeks now (never thought I'd hear myself say that! ), and today is the first dry day we've had in ages. Oh the joy of living in Devon. Anyway I think the effort was worth it, he looks lovely now.

Hey sun was pretty good here in South Devon today (my first dry day since getting thunderT) , hoped to get some shots on the beach but sun didn't rise as quickly here and it's half term so the roads are full of grockles down here for the week :ban: Yaris tax disk holder arrived but it says fit and don't move for 24 hours so looks like it will be a while til I fit it or it will drop off, what happened to instant glue.

Rallybunny it looks lovely, do you suffer from seagull "fallout" seeing as your in Devon?

ThunderT, is it a Richbrook Aluminium holder you got? If so, I've got one of them and all I do is put something behind the holder for a couple of hours after applying a lot of pressure to it myself for a few minutes & it's been fine. Doesn't move at all. If you are able to then leaving it for 24 hours won't hurt (obviously) but I wouldn't let it stop you if you needed to use the car.

Thanks for all your comments. It's nice to have a car that I actually want to clean. I used to do my Micra with car shampoo from the pound shop and a watering can. That was after I snapped the spoiler in a car wash though.

I live right by the sea, in a fishing port, but *touch wood* have not had one at all with the new car. My old car, which was red used to get regularly covered. Maybe the seagulls have more respect for the T-sport!

I'm from Torbay. I think there was another person who signed up a couple of weeks ago, with a red P2 from Exeter.

I might bring mine along to the Exeter jap meet this month, we could have our own little T-sport section now.

My car has now been well and truly rained on, I knew it wouldn't last. :(

That always happens - or at least it feels that way!

I take the Blue to be cleaned at a handwash place, costs £4 & they do a great job.

I will do it myself again soon, I promise

That's a pretty good price. Don't think we have anywhere like that round here though.
