Driving today and the stereo starts playing up...wont pick anythibng up bar radio 2 due to for some reason the fm mode only goes to 90.00 fm!!! then I try to put my head lights on.....the car (doing 45 at the time) then judders ,stalls,and restarts!!! any thoughts on why the heck it did it!!! :!Removed!:

god knows... maybe the flux capacitor fell off matey? thats well strange!!!

the radio 2 thing sounds like a japanese head unit. Their usual FM frequency only goes to 90 so without a frequency shifter installed you end up stuck with Radio 2, as it's the only FM station in range.

No idea about the stuttering though. Did it only happen once and then cure itself, or has it happened again?

ive had my engine cut off before for no reason but it never restarted. think uve got ur very own herbie

yep the band expander idea sounds like part of the problem.... as mine doesnt have one and like you now get... i only get radio 2(of all damn stations lol) and nada past 90.

Although coincidences can and do happen maybe if your radio was fine and it is a jap unit then maybe somethings shorted and its responsible for both probs....

Tom... I know exactly what the problem is. It`s cos you got a Gen 6. Don`t happen in 5s.

aye tis true!!!!!!! gawd not really enjoying this car one bit!!!! miss my gen 5 seemed better with its "drug dealer " window tints heh!!!

its going when weather clears up. sick of it tbh not impressed at all . gen 5s rule

On a serious note Tom. I had a test drive in a ST202 the other week. I don`t know if it`s me or whether because the car was a dog (£500 L reg thing with a zillion billion miles on it in four shades of red ) but it felt a lot less solid than the gen 5. I`d like a comparrison if you don`t mind. :)
