Boost Gauge

Hey guys/gals,

I've today fitted a HKS mechanical boost gauge to my GT4, it reads fine whilst on boost, but it doesn't drop right into negative boost when off the throttle, or tick over etc... Is this right? It just sits around 0 instead whereas the gauge on the dash drops right down into negative

Also, when dumping the boost pressure, the gauge flickers around a bit and normally shoots up the gauge a fair bit, is this also normal?

Cheers

Mike :)

seems a bit strange, the engine should be in vacuum till the car comes onto boost... at least mine does, have you checked for leaks on your gauge system? (each connection? engine runninig, soapy water!)

this isnt right.... you should be in minus before you hit boost, and on tickover you should be well into the minus. not sure what might be causing it to do this tho

make sure you dont use the map sensor or fuel pressure reg pipes. map sensor is the one that comes out of the front of the manifold and FPR is down by the side of the throttle leaver.
