Where Are Verso T180's Made - Pluto ?

Hello all,

As title really. I'm guessing it's Japan.... and my T180 is on a small boat somewhere in the Pacific with a little old Japanese lady and a paddle - at least that's how it seems as delivery is taking an eternity :crybaby:

It's my own fault of course, I had to have the full map satnav and the front & rear cameras (well boys must have toys) ... and it's a factory fit option I'm told. Does anyone here have this - is it worth the wait it's causing ?

I keep seeing Verso's now that mine is on order - spotted a T180 on the M5 this week but couldn't keep up with it to have a good look.

Must be here soon.....

My T180 also took about two weeks, but I only added rear parking sensors (which are a bit of a rip off in my opinion as they just beep and don't show you the distance - like you would get in a Honda).

They are made in Turkey - well mine was.

I think they are great cars for Motorway/distance driving (particularly in 6th) - but a bit hard work around town. On mine, I get nice quiet smooth acceleration when the turbo kicks in in 4th at about 40, but speeds below 40 it is a bit tractor like - and that gear stick I find stiff and clunky.

Hello all,

Thanks for your replies.

It looks as though my wait is over as this morning I've been advised that my car is with the dealer and will be delivered to me on Thursday morning :yahoo:

Cheers

Well, I've had my T180 for a week now and covered just over a thousand miles - and I love it !

I agree with other posters here - it's not a traffic light dragster by any means, in fact I wish that 1st gear was a bit taller.

Once you're in 4th and up to around 40mph I'm sure a big hand appears behind you Monty Python style and launches you forward. It is very quick, absolutely fab for motorway distance driving.

The one thing I've not yet figured out is the rear reversing screen on the sat-nav. I'm sure that the green lines and boxes that appear are trying to tell me something but despite re-reading the owner handbook several times it's escaping me so far

Also miss the bigger fuel tank on my old Alhambra. Well, I'm hoping that it was bigger and that's why I'm having to fill the Verso up so often

Cheers

Robin

I think you might be seeing two problems here:

1. The T180 drinks diesel like a fish. I am lucky to get more than 32mpg out of it.

and

2. The Wacky Races fuel gauge. When the orange light comes on, I can get about 53 quids worth in the tank. That seems to last and last as the gauge slowly creeps down towards half full. Then, all of a sudden, pop down Tescos and wallop, it's showing empty... So I checked, when almost on empty, if I put a tenner in, the needle goes up to half a tank. It takes another 40 quid more to get it up to the top - who ever calibrated that gauge needs shooting....

So true, wacky races is a spot on description. I looked at the instantaneous fuel consumption readout once, scared myself silly and made a mental note never to go there again.

!Removed! good fun though

Yes, definitely. I think in Microsoft parlance you could call it a "feature".
