The problem is the locking system on the Aygo is that it the same as Peugeots (and not Toyota) and is inferior. The keys are different to the original Toyota keys, as you can tell from the PM I sent you. The two basic design flaws are not having double locking and having the locking switch on the top of the door panel and not on the side.

Hi Everybody.

It isn't a major issue really.

The actual "fault" even if modified wouldn't prevent a determined thief gaining access to your car.

A thief will simply put a window through.

Driving the AYGO away is another matter, the electronic security is very good.

If the average !Removed! sees something in your AYGO he wants, he won't bother with the "fault"

If you have the most compex deadlocking and the best alarm possible......

Brick through the window, nick your stuff, run away.

Don't leave stuff on show.

A design flaw due to cutting corners by both Toyota & PSA. Fitting cheap, inadequate and non shielded locks making them easy to open. No amounts of 'after market' kits cheap or expensive can rectify the problem. END OF SORRY.

Seeing as no one is giving anyone a PM over the security issue, I have a question.

If i knew what the security flaw was, could i fix it myself / make it harder to break in? or would I simply be looking at changing the locking system and / or spending big monies to fix the problem?

thanks

The "Deliberately Vague" PM doesn't help me at all.

I OWN A FRICKING AYGO. If this security fault exists I need to know exactly what it is, and how to properly protect against it.

Please do not expect to be told how to break into your Aygo on a public forum.

Maybe a trip to your local Toyota dealer will answer your questions about any potential security problems on your Aygo :)

I asked for a pm explaining it
