Oh, the fury.

I returned to my car the other day - it was parked in a multi-storey park, as I was in reading for a training course - to find a big, fat scratch down the passenger side, and the panel is nicely dented as well. No details left for me, and no CCTV in the car park.

So now I have to pay out because some other twit can't park, despite my car being so small, they could have fit a tank in the space I'd left.

Nightmare,

This happens far too often nowadays - I believe it's actually being referred to as 'A Tesco Incident'.

It's bad enough that people can't drive properly, without doing a runner when they get it wrong.

Well I've two new dents on the top of the bonnet just below the windscreen to add to the line across the driver's side. Happened last night when I was parked in the "staff" car park for the arena last night whilst I was doing fire safety. I came back to find two new dents, one on driver's side about half an inch in length and one on the passenger side about an inch and half in length. Needless to say there was a lot of cursing. There was a weird white residue in the dents and the paint looked scuffed. Grrrrrrr! Someone suggested that it could have been bangers/fireworks.

:censor: :censor: toerags.

I'm actually shocked other people seem to be damaging my car more than I am myself!!!

:ffs: Toyota have quoted me the best part of £900 to repair the scratch and dent. They seem to be wanting to rework the entire passenger side of the car!

Seriously, for a car that cost £7,000, minor repairs shouldn't cost more than 10% of the car's retail value!

Needless to say, I'll be looking for other quotes.

I feel the pain! On my first Yaris, which was 3 weeks old at the time back in April 2004 got a nice (note the sarcasm) key scratch infront of the petrol cap on the nearside. I approached someone my Dad had used for his Fiesta when it was scratched with two keys along each side continually but he couldnt help as the mix of paint he used would be affected by the paint fumes, so I went to Toyota & they did an excellent job. Could not tell at all that anything had been done on that area but it did cost me £250 :ffs:.
