thats cool, just shows how loyal people are to thier marques. my mates got a calibra turbo, and its a damn sight slower than my relatively standard 205... so when i get a boost controller put in he wont even be a speck in the rear view anymore... ah well

good freind of mine has just recently sold his st205 gt4 wrc! was a very quick car in a straight line but couldnt get near imprezza's in the twisties

If that bloke couldn't keep up with an impreza in a 205 there's one of 3 reasons.

1. The scoobypoo was no where near standard

2. he is a poo driver

3. the superstrut was ****ered.

I had 'a play' with a Scooby on a nice private road not too long ago ;) He ended up moving over and indicating me through, then couldnt keep up :D

A scooby would IMHO match a 205 round the twisties as people like to call them(if bhp was similar). A calibra Tubby would not IMHO. but as I rarely go on the twisties I aint too bothered by that, what I have noticed is that the Cally turbos 0-60 even with a transfer box made out of chocolate is virtually the same as a 205! I think the bias is on both sides! ;)

Daktari - I know what you mean about the Chav side of Vaukhall ownership!! lol But I cant help the fact I think GTE's are hard as nails! There are alot more people on that site than here so you get an extra amount of nob socks!! But I tell you what I have noticed is that people on here love Toyotas and people on there love there particular models! the amount of Calibra owners bitching at Nova owners for nicking turbos motors is unbelievable!

There is a guy I know called Chip who works for Toyota who is well and truely clued up on cars (more than anyone I know) and he says Toyota are gonna shock us pretty soon!
