2006 Xt5 Passenger Satnav Use

Hello I wonder if someone can help me?

Is it possible to change the settings on the XT5 satnav to allow destination changes to be made while the vehicle is in motion (by the passenger obviously, for safety). At the moment many options become greyed out once you go above 2mph? Is there an engineers menu where the settings can be changed?

Many thanks for any help!

I have t180 SAME SAT NAV not possible because of speed input two points

1. Because of speed input if you loose satellite reception the car can still calculate your progress so not advisable to disconnect speed input also it IS keeping yoou safe

2. You have about 5 or 6 speed location buttons at the bottom of your screen (destination) if you program these with often used destinations or with a particular destination before moving off it is possible to select these while moving

Hope this helps

If you prepared to do some wiring... you can put a switch in line with the VSS (speed pulse) at the back of the radio.

Thus when the switch is open you can program the nav all you want while moving.

(See my other post, some time ago mind about this)

Regards

Steve.
