No Central Unlock From Remote

the doors will lock from the remote, but will not unlock.

the indicaters flash on pressing the remote unlock, interior light comes on, but no doors unlock?????

put ignition on, and press the door master unlock, all doors unlock.

It seem to me as if there is a bad or no connection from the alarm unit to the door switch.

Does anybody have an electrical schematic and information on the location of the alarm unit and the routing of the offending connections/wire??

I would suggest that your integration relay is faulty. If you have a MK 1 Avensis, that is. Unfortunately quite a common problem. You'll find it in the driver's footwell, behind the lower A post cover. You may have to take off the upper kick panel to remove the relay. It's a squarish black box about 100mm by 100mm and about 20mm thick, and it probably has a multiplug towards the top. There is no repairing it, you have to replace it, and testing is by substitution. Let us know how you fixed it.
