I am really pleased with my new Aygo Black so far. It's doing exactly as it said on the tin.

However, Two weeks ago after a considerable amount of heavy rain the night before I noticed the carpet in :crybaby: the footwell behind the passenger seat was saturated.

I have taken it to Toyota in Newport and after a strip out and 'days water test' they say there is nothing getting in!!!

Has any one else had this problem?

I'll wait for the bad weather now I guess and hope they are right and well I dunno, I'm 99.9% sure that the windows and doors were all shut!!

ATTENTION My car has now been in twice since this, first time they replaced the door seals, (It took them 19 days to do this !!!) It is now in for the third time, (15 days so far)- They agree that water is getting in but cannot find out where!!!) I'm starting to get a bit worried now as dealership have asked Head office whjo have exhausted known possibilities on where to check next)

My 18 week old car has been in the garage with a floor full of water for 6 of them.!!

Hi, first time on Forum and noticed you also had the same problem with water ingress. I bought an Aygo Blue 07 plate in June 07. Since then it has been in the garage three times to have the problem with water in boot, water behind passenger seat, windows steaming up all the time, passenger window not going back up and glove compartment door not closing. Also with the cold weather recently there was more ice inside the car than outside.

Today I collected my new Aygo Blue 08 plate which replaced the Aygo Blue 07. I must admit when getting car repaired I took it to another garage, not the garage I bought it from. as that was closer to home. However, after one phone call to the garage I bought it from they agreed for me to have a replacement car for which I am most grateful. I just hope I dont encounter any of the same problems I had with my previous Aygo. It looks as though there are a lot of people out there who bought an Aygo and now have the same problem with water getting into their car. Don't give up. Go back to the garage you bought the car and ask for a replacement. They should be able to do this for you as they did for me.

Good luck.

New member to the site having searched to see if others were suffering the same problem.

Bought an Aygo+ MMT in June 07 and by December had noticed water ingress into rear offside passenger footwell. The dealer had the car in 5 times changing seals etc and fitting a Toyota fix without any success.

Eventually after discussion with the dealer & Toyota it was agreed that the car would be changed which is what happened.

On 31st May 08 we collected a replacement Aygo+ that was manufactured in May 08. 2 days after we collected the car it rained and hey presto we found water in both rear footwells.

At the moment we are in further discussion with the dealer.

It is such a shame as the Aygo+MMT is a cracking car. No idea what we would replace it with if we have to.

I have now gone public and today asked for a change in unit as my 16 month old AYGO black is in for the 8th time with same fault "leaky" footwells soaking / windows never clear unless windows down (and more rain comes in !!) and they wont change the car they state we have to be given the chance to repair. Where do we stand!! I have lost all interest in the car and now happy to go all the way with them as this has not yet being repaired in 8 attempts can anybody advise?? the best way forward I have alot of time on my hands at the moment may be having demo outside RRG Salford very soon , Hope to get channel Manchester on board for the coverage of this problem and yet they still sell them to unsuspecting customers in there showrooms .

Calm down and goto Watchdog and get them to do a re-call on all door seals.

Just to add to this discussion, my wifes 06 plate Aygo has had the leaks in the passanger rear footwell and I am on the fourth visit to the dealer.

On the cars fourth visit (each one, water tests and fixes applied) the dealer is 100% serious on getting this problem fixed for us. Previous visits have just taken a week. The car has been in the dealer for one month now. Lucky they have given me a courtesy car!

They are now testing the car with the bad weather we are having and still finding the issue.

My view on this water leak issue is that if they can not fix the issue they should refund, as a water leak like this does not just happen it has been there since day one.

I have tried to get the garage to take the car back but they will only give the now value of the car !!!! So I mean to keep pressing them until the problems is resolved or they grow tired and sort a no cost fix to this issue."

DO we know of anyone that has had the problem solved as i have found only in really bad weather the fault occurs??

All I want is price of car putting on diffrent model I will pay diffrence But nobody listening they just want your warrenty to pass.

Replacing the vent flaps under the rear bumper and possibly two rear light seals (there are modified vent flaps-note in TOTTS) has (as far as we know) fixed at least three Aygo water leaks for my dealership. Also front door seals have needed to be replaced. we have not had anyone back twice since we found out about the vent flaps.

we have done shed loads of door seals and rear light seals.

An update

I rejected the car immediately in writing and within a week or so had received a full refund.

The replacement car was supposed to have had the latest fixes factory fitted but these were not done, the dealer tried to post fix but they failed and the car still leaked.

I am no longer an Aygo owner and never will be again. A shame really as the car was excellent except for the built in swimming pool.

Guess what I've just found in the spare wheel well of my 57 reg Aygo Blue! WATER! The back carpets are also soaked, but I hadn't noticed this as it has not got through the mats. Off to Mr T to get it sorted (hopefully!). Will let you all know the result.

Weve got exactly the same issue with water seepage through the front window in our Senator Series 5. We are considering taking it to the local service centre for warranty repair, which seems a real faf for a few drops of water under the window.

Just wondered if any of the advice above fixed the problem?

Thanks

Sarah
