I've been the owner of a new Aygo+ manual petrol since late July and been nothing but chuffed with it :D

It's the 5-door in Carbon Quartz with AirCon the only extra.

I purchased it, via an Internet Broker, from Burton on Trent Toyota which is a good 100 miles from where I live. However, I saved over £1000 against the best deal my local Toyota could do so it was well worth the trek.

Plus points for the Aygo:

It's a doddle to drive and park. All the controls are light without being overly so and the engine is fantastic. It pulls really well for such a tiny unit.

It's comfy for a car it's size. I'm 6' tall and on the heavy side  but going long distances is not a problem. I've had me and 2 friends, of similar height and build travelling 100 miles round-trip and we were pleased with how comfy it was in the front and the back.

It's nippy. If you use the gears correctly you can get up to speed perfectly well and have some fun in it.

It grips well for a car it's size. There is some body roll, but overall it's a pleasant surprise how sharply you can corner in it.

Economy- I thought the fuel gauge was broken at first. I'm getting an indicated 450 miles per tank and that's 95% Urban driving.

It looks cute. Everyone I've spoken to loves the styling.

Minus points for the Aygo:

It gets dirty very easily. That sounds odd but the back-end can be filthy after any stint on the motorway.

The gearbox is a little clunky at times- especially first gear. It's not the end of the world but a minor niggle.

The boot is miniscule.

Security is very poor (see other thread on this forum)

Overall I'm mightily pleased with my Aygo (Hugo, I call it! My jealous friend calls it a Gaygo, but she can stick with her metallic orange Kia Picanto :P ) It's cheap to run, fun to drive, comfy, the stereo's half-decent (for the price of the car) and for my first car it's a great choice because parking's simplicity itself.

Except for the first couple of weeks. I kerbed the plastic wheel covers on the front left and front right about 4 times each and they're a shocking state now!!! :crybaby: :P

Anyone know how much to replace them?

Nice little write up and I'm pleased the Aygo is doing you proud !

I agree with the rear getting dirty - it is really annoying - must be something to do with the shape

Yes, this is due to the shape. It's basically because the rear end of the car is so flat, it creates a vacuum which must be filled by air. The air rushing to fill the gap comes from around, and underneath the car. Of course, this brings up all the crap from the road as well.
