I have a T180 lots of spec however a few what I call basic things missing

I have had these an all of my past three cars and i miss them

1. Doors should be able to lock automatically above say 5mph

2. Mirrors should be able to automatically fold in when locking car (very good visual conformation of locking especially as T180 has smart entry system)

3. One touch closing on all windows

4. Sat Nav should have 7 digit postcode search

please add to the list or add comment and hope that someone from Toyota might read this thread.

thank you in advance

For XT4 also

1. 30mph included on the speedo (for wifey)

2. More of an orange speedo to match the rest of the dash (as Avensis).

3. Illuminated switches for mirrors, windows and instrument dimmer.

4. Cup holders that are not specifically for an American bucket full of Coke.

5. Illuminated glove box as per Ford Fiesta and up.

6. Heated windscreen as per 14k Daihatsu.

7. Aux input to audio system.

Reverse Parking Sensors for all women!!!

I have reverse sensors on mine and I thought they were a gimmick but I have to say that they are good!

If you are backing up to a small car and it dissapears out of view it doesn't matter. Just wait for the sensors to shout.

Clare

I think the speed limit must be 40 in Japan!!!

You would think that if putting "odd" numbers on the dial clutters it up a bit they could at least put red dots on or something. It is so easy to exceed 30 with one of these things unless you hold it in 2nd or 3rd gear.

It must be really easy to exceed 30 with a T180.

One solution to speed is to buy a Talex (www.talex.co.uk or any similar unit) I have one on my T180 very small and fits in fron of speedo giving you a digital speedo reading

how about a bit cheeper so I can justify to the wife in buying one....

O and the rear door needs to be hatch style and not side hinged...:blink:

Are the run flats a good idea on a dark country road at 2am, miles from home...:eek:

Don't worry about that as long as you have run flat tyres. i bought a new bmw535d jan05 with run flats drove for 1 year after which time i got tyres checked only to discover that it came down the production line with ordinary tyres no jack no sparewheel etc. not to happy as you could guess hence t180 not X3

  • 2 weeks later...

Agreed with all that lot, plus an iPod connection as standard like our US counterparts.

Also wing mirrors that adjust to view a slightly downward angle when reverse is selected (like Merc wing mirrors do).
