Aygo Sport - 10,000 Miles And Major Work

Hey all,

New member here! First post! :D

Just took my shiny crystal silver Aygo Sport into my local Toyota dealership for her 10,000 mile service last Friday. I duly rolled back up to the service desk an hour later to be told that my new car had both an oil and coolant leak, both seemingly in existence since manufacture, both covered by warranty.

It's going in next Monday for a new radiator and extensive work to the oil system seals, two/three day job and a week's wait for a courtesy car. I am not best pleased.

In all honesty, customer service has been excellent, but still :censor:

I understand the frustration you're feeling, but on the other hand they have found probems you didn't know about and are resolving them under warranty.

Imagine how you'd feel if the warranty was out when this was discovered !!

Problems happen, but at least you have a dealer who cares about customer service by the sound of it.

Had you been checking the oil and coolant level in the car? How much had you lost?

Oh, how much are they charging for the service?

Hey,

Yes, I'd been checking the coolant and oil levels, there was a slight drop in coolant, but nothing serious, and I'd figured if it needed topping back to full the garage could do it at the service.

The 10k service was 90 quid, including parts and labour, plus I got a wash and a mini valet. Yes, I'm easily pleased! :D

Still, dropping it off at the garage tomorrow and picking up my courtesy car. I'll keep you posted as to the success of the repairs.

Since manufacture? That's a bit worrying, but glad it's covered by warranty :).
