Help With Interior Light Door Switch ! Celica Gts 91

Hi can anybody help me with my interior door light switches as i have a strange problem !! if i open my boot they work ok but if i open the door either drivers or passengers the interior lights dont come on, could it be the interior switches have gone, and also are they easy to remove and check, any help on this Please, from brian with 1991 J Plate celica 2.0 Gts....

either corroded switches or a corroded earth

give them a "rattle" and they may come on (black rubber button thing in the door shut) and see if it flickers. If so take off and clean up, could be worth a try- and failing that new switches.

Its a common fault, my car is the same.

Thats brilliant, have just cleaned them and all ok now, so nice to have the interior lights again and with the ignition light back on, many thanx from Brian.
